Introduction

Samba, Capoeira , Paulo Coelho and Obvio! Where do you think all these came from? Well, this one is easy because it all came from Brazil. Known as the 9th largest economy in the world, it’s no surprise that this country can keep up in terms of electric car manufacturing. When it comes to its size, Brazil is the fifth largest country with a strong currency and rich natural resources. For more than 30 years Brazil has a stable energy based in hydro-electric generators that uses ethanol in all cars.

The name Obvio with the red exclamation point which means obvious in English is the trademark of the company. Design is everything for this company and making a stylish electric car is the company’s obvious goal. Developing a Brazilian designed automobile with the help of the latest technology and other partners will surely make this futuristic car into a reality.

Obvio! Brazil’s privately held automotive company is the brain behind the newest Brazilian electric cars, the Obvio! 828 and Obvio! 012. Just like any automobile company, Brazil’s very own Obvio! is the first car company created strictly for export purposes. The hype for original electric cars is getting hotter and hotter every day. This is one of the reasons why car makers around the globe are starting to feel the need to manufacture good quality and fuel efficient electric/hybrid cars.

With 100% outsourced manufacturing, Obvio! is using the “BTO” (Built to Order) process or “by demand production”. This process is what we call the “pull” production system which is very vital in Obvio’s manufacturing. Obvio! may not be a household name but this company is not your ordinary car company since they conceptualize their own product, develop and manage all the manufacturing and assembly line operations. Unique, high-performance, fun to drive, safe, made in Brazil green cars is what Obvio! is all about. They want to be identified as a car company who will take the electric car industry to the next level.

It was in September 2005 that Obvio! made a deal to be sole distributor of Obvio’s car for the next 21 years for the US market. This agreement was between Obvio and the distributor of advanced technology and fuel-efficient vehicles and a Californian publicly traded company. But due to production delay and termination of Trictec Motors operation, Obvio! has to freeze engineering projects and the US contract was cancelled. By October 2009, Vroom electric vehicles took over the company including the Obvio! model which was designed by Anisio Campos. Through the financial aid of Vroom and Campos ingenuity the Abvio! was recreated.

Now the company is known for its affordable new generation Abvio! electric cars with triflex-fuels; ethanol, gasoline and NCG. Abvio! is known for city cars and these EV’s will soon be running in US highway. Vroom will still continue it good business relationship with Abvio! and through the help of its high qualified engineering team Abvio! will soon to be a household name. This take over will also ensure a smooth implementation of Abvio’s industrial base for production in Brazilian soil.

 Abvio! 828
